SO IF some of you can realize, this, looks an awful lot like my other piece, "Don't touch me" but you see, this is completely different XD These awesome people named Chris and Olya (Olga) Brine contacted me because they loved the "Don't touch me picture" and how it so wonderfully fit their book "My Whispers of Horror". they asked me to make a book cover for them similar to the original work. They really liked the way I use and shade with pencil so they came to me after they already had looked at other professionals <3 <3 <3 <3 apparently my style fit what they were looking for and after about 7 concept art sketches they picked the parts they liked and though some of the concepts were totally different from the original piece, we decided to stick with something very similar with how fitting the original work already was, only with some changes as you can see, such as the cracks on the ground, the position of the girl, her being in the center, the little letter, the position of the shadow, the perspective, and make some hands into fists as well. When comparing both the pieces, I'm not sure which one I like more, I personally kinda like this one better or is leaning towards it because it seems like more, well, idk, cleaner? In it's perspective and angle and stuff, the set up of it all seems nicer to me. and the girl is more proportional compared to the other one I made before.
with permission, they are allowing me to post this
help get their name out there. this book is around 170ish pages and is about true stories from women personally writing and sending letters to Chris and Olya about their tragic and horribly abusive story's in Ex-USSER Nations such as Russia for example. Women are/can be treated like scum, items for sex, slaves, down right dirt basically and own barely any rights or power over the 'dominant' gender, men. and own some very harrowing story's in their lives because of it.
I really like how this book focuses on that sort of thing because it kinda gets the awareness out that there are still plenty of places out there where women, or really any gender, race, sexuality, religion, children facing abuse or molestation from family (such as the book Spike found on DA), children in general, the mentally ill, handicapped, etc etc etc are still treated like trash in the world and things like this do happen, it is real, not just a thing in the past or happens on a small scale.
this book is named "My Whispers of Horror" just like this title for the picture and will be coming out in stores soon!
